Lita Rossana Ford She was born in Britain and was an American singer, guitarist and music writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she was a guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl group The Runaways. While the group was not successful within their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford's solo metal career was successful after the 1979 split of the band. She took voice lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them and disappeared from the world of rock for about a decade. The smash-hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her greatest songs. However, the success of her career was not last long and after a few years she disappeared. The album 'Black' was released in 1995, as well as 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, she reemerged. 2016 saw the release of her most recent studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
